Showcase
It's my thesis project involving in shading, lighting and compositing.
I challenged myself to make an aged town in China with all CG elements.
Texture and lighting practice for an interesting animation
I was responsible for the UV mapping and painting textures for this collaborative project. The building is a low polygon model and we need it to be looked as realistic as possible.

CG Japanese-style umbrella are drifting above the New York city.
This shot was made with Vue xStream. Vue is such a powerful tool to create abelievable scene. I replaced the distant mountain in the back and gave the sky fascinating clouds.
First work in Vue xStream
Matte-painting the castle, cliff and sky
I tried to make a moody atmosphere in this matte-painting practice. I replaced the sky, added castle and rocks on the grass just like a fairy tale world.
shooting green screen character and replacing him in existing footage
Pulling green screen matte for a collaborative project
Matte-painting for Di's thesis project
I did the matte-painting for the snowy view
I made the shading and lighting of them
I worked on the texuring for the car key chain
I textured all these CG stuff in two days as it's almost the end of my internship in Elastic Creative. I can say I learned a lot about how to do speed shading things in Vray. I really fell in love with Vray since then.
Muscle Beach is a short animation movie from Corey Rosen. I was responsible for texturing jobs for some 3D models.
These are my visual effects works from 2009 to 2012. Some are commercial projects, but most of them are personal projects done when I am a graduate student in Academy of Art University.

Graphic Design
You can see my digital art work, graphic design, CI design, webpage design, UI design and package design in this gallery. Playing for both RGB and CMYK spaces are interesting things that never let me feel tired of. I have worked in advertising agency for seven years and besides the design work, my job included planning and executing the project/campaign, such as cooperating with commercial photographer, stylist and professional models. Those experiences make me possess an uncommon blend of skills to deal with a vast array of challenges and opportunities.
Fine Art / Photography
I love art and been drawing since I was a kid. Not until undergraduate school was I trained to use color pencils and other professional drawing tools. The key point about drawing my mentor taught me is KEEPING OBSERVING. I think it also apply to photography and any other art form. Artist needs to be observant to very detail things so that he/she could make a good shape, lighting, composition, color or emotion of the art work.
