Instead of rendering clouds in Vue, which will take lots of time, I chose to render different angle of clouds and project them in Nuke.
ABOUT \\
RED PAPER PLANE is my thesis project at Academy of Art University and a short film mainly showing fantasy landscapes and scenery by matte painting and CG compositing. The story is based on a girl who discovers a red paper plane and then chases after it. Along with her way of following the red paper plane, viewers could see the spectacular environment embracing her in different shots. All CG elements were lit and textured in Maya or Vue and rendered with Mental Ray or Vray. Clouds and sky were rendered by Vue and projected in Nuke. I composited every elements in Nuke.
