I care about every detail things which should happen in real world. That's one of the crucial point to create a realistic CG scene.
I was going to turn the day light scene into night scene in order to practice materials with glowing look. Therefore, I made two different status for each lantern.

Chinese Water Village is the project purely trained myself to be an expert of shading / surfacing. In this project, all the textures were painted by Photoshop or Mudbox, and the shaders were created through Maya, mostly mia_material_x.
